I am unable to send and receive MMS messages.

In order to get MMS working you have to call AT&T or whoever your current carrier is and have the remove the flags for your iphone, we were able to do that as of yesterday and now have MMS working, it is nothing in the Beta, it is AT&T

A little bit more specif instructions to enable MMS:

In order for me to get MMS working i had to call at&t, give them another phones IMEI number and they registered it in place of my iphone on thier system, then they have to go into a program they run called  "snooper" which tells them what type of phone you are using , and disable it.  They then have to remove 2 flags to allow MMS.  i currently am using it with no trouble. it does take sometimes 2 minutes for a pic to go thru but it still works, and thye say it cant be done.

Myself and another member I spoke with both were told by AT&T that they have strict instructions from Apple not remove any flags

That is because you have to tell them that you no longer use the iphone and give them the ID number from another phone.  they will replace your iphone on their system which will let you use MMS.  the only feature that will be different is the voicemail.  i have it working, it did take acouple calls to ATT but it works and is worth the effort

Has anybody from the UK on o2 managed to get MMS working? It doesn't even appear to be an option on my iPhone 3G running Beta 4? Can't find any reference to it in the settings pages or anything?

AT&T reps are no longer removing flags from ex iphone accounts any more.

They told me they have specific instructions NOT to do that or they'll get written up.

ARE THERE ANY WORK AROUND???

iPhone 3.0 Beta 5 - MMS on O2-UK

Update using iTunes pre-release 8.2b7 (10) and you will then be able to load the O2-Uk .ipcc file. If you use the latest iTunes pre-release you will not be able to upload the .ipcc file.

Thanks

It would seem O2 have had the option removed by Apple on there system. This means with the .ipcc file installed you can send but not receive MMS messages. I am working on them at O2 tho!

I can send mms but not recieve an mms

I am on Vodacom in South Africa, can see the mms setting in Beta 5 and have the correct mms setting's

What does not make sense is when I was Jailbroken and using Swirly using these setting's I could send and recieve mms

If I use my sim in another phone I can also send / receive mms

We have to use two different APN's here, 1 for 3G access and mms has it's own APN

Any idea's?

I also updated to 3.0 beta 5 and dont have the option to send MMS or edit the sewttings for that matter. Do I need to install the at&t ipcc file? I triede to install the at&t ipcc file with itunes but when I hit shift and update, it does not see the file. Says it can only real ipsw files.. Now what?

Well, I've seen messages where they tell you to SSH in the arrier bundle which I beleive I did the right way but the bottom line is, I can't see any MMS options nor do I see any settings to enable them. Can someone help? Thanks in advance.

Did you reboot your phone after installing the ipcc? Not that it really matters if you have AT&T, they have settings on their network that block MMS to the iPhone. Some people, mostly on a family plan, have been able to get it to work, but now AT&T reps are under strict orders to NOT remove the flags that block MMS to an iPhone. I have the same problem but I can change the MMS setting on my iPhone and nothing works.
