Hi. Does anyone know if Apple is still working on the Bluetooth profiles? While the A2DP profle works really great for music, it's not so good for watching movies.
When watching a movie on the iPhone and using a stereo Bluetooth headset, there is a delay between the action and the sound. It's about a one second delay. I was using a Bluna Bluetooth adapter on the iPhone before using OS 3.0 and there was no delay using that device.
Also, any word on the addition of AVRCP to skip and backtrack songs from the headset controls?
Thanks. | |

UPDATE: Well something interesting happened today while playing a movie. The sound was in sync with the action! I'm not sure how that happened, but I did power cycle the phone just before I started to use it.

Guess it could be a memory thing

Well, after more use, I am seeing that it doesn't look to be a memory thing. Even if I power cycle the phone, it does not make a difference. The only time the audio and video are in sync is if the movie audio is interrupted by another phone sound (like new email sound or incoming call ringer). After that, the phone does play the movie audio in sync with the movie video.

I'm having the same problem...anywhere from .5 to 2 sec delay.

yes, the delay does vary and sometimes it's painfully long

Well no real changes to the A2DP implementation in the "final release". Still an incomplete implementation of AVRCP, so not much changed from Beta 5.
