Hi, I have an UNjailbroken 2.2.1 iPhone and so so attempted to run Beta 5 I have read so many horror stories of not being able to downgrade to 2.2.1 if something goes wrong in the process of the upgrade. If I wanted to go back to 2.2.1 unjailbroken is it as simple as doing a restore in iTunes and what about the issue of the Baseband having been upgraded when 3.0 is installed? Thanks

You can still downgrade:
Upgrading the baseband does nothing except prevent you from unlocking your phone to use with other providers. It is unknown whether or not an exploit will be found in the future to allow for unlocking. Instructions on how to get your phone into DFU mode: 1.Connect your iPhone to your computer. 2. Turn iPhone off. 3. Hold power and home together for 10 seconds (exactly). 4. Release power but keep holding home until the computers beeps (observed on a PC) as a USB device is recognized. 5. A few seconds later iTunes should detect your iPhone. If your phone isn't detected, try putting it into DFU mode again.
